GOALS shortlisted for THES Award!
The GOALS project was recently short-listed for a prestigious Widening Participation Initiative of the Year award by the Times Higher Education Supplement. One of only 4 short listed projects for the award, GOALS representatives attended the Awards dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in November last year.
Roger McClure, Chief Executive of the Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council, which funds the West Forum said: "GOALS is the sort of imaginative long-term strategy needed to really crack the hardest widening participation 'nut'. I am delighted that the efforts of the team have been acknowledged by such a prestigious nomination."
The GOALS team were all very disappointed not to have won, but still delighted to have been one of the four short listed candidates in a highly competitive category.
