Going for GOALS
GOALS relies on a huge number of partners and people to have any impact. To make any real change though it is also important that parents are part of GOALS.
Parents are, of course, the most important influence on their children's career aspirations and choices (although it may not feel like this at times) so we would be very grateful if you would get involved in GOALS whenever you can and encourage your children to understand the benefits of their involvement.
Going for University
Remember, it's never too late to go to university or college and do what you want to do! Although it might embarrass your son or daughter if they are spending a night at the student union when you happen to walk in!
Even if you didn’t manage to get the grades when you studied the first time round there are a number of access courses which can help you get in to university.
So whatever you want to do it's worth taking a chance... You never know it could lead to a fantastic new career...
