Summer Academy

Never before has learning been so much fun. You’ll find the Summer Academy an incredible experience – that’s what everyone tells us and, let’s face it, 6000 people can’t be wrong! We’re certain you’ll thoroughly enjoy the two weeks - it will transform your attitude to education.

From Day One it is non-stop action and along with 250 other young people you’ll encounter a fascinating range of academic and recreational challenges.

Minute by minute, hour by hour your skills, abilities, knowledge and confidence will be tested and developed. You’ll acquire new ICT skills, make business-oriented presentations (a bit like the 'Apprentice'), become a skilled negotiator, create mind blowing designs and perform to the highest level in sport, art, music and dance.

Part of a team

However, you’ll never be on your own. You’ll be part of a small team, working alongside university student mentors and S@S specialists. If you have any worries (except financial ones) they’ll help, encourage and support you at all times.

You’ll even get a complimentary access all areas pass to campus restaurants and a drop-in programme of events like quiz shows, karaoke and live gigs.
