What Next?
LINKS, Portfolio Prep, Top-Up, Applying to university/college
We all hope you have enjoyed your GOALS activities so far in your school career, but there is more to come and not surprisingly it gets a bit more serious as you get closer to leaving school and getting as good a start as possible.
If you are thinking about staying on to S5/6 and then going on to either college or university after school GOALS is there to support you as much as we can.
Firstly if you are interested in a career in art or design then portfolio preparation workshops can help you with staff from the Glasgow School of Art .
Top-Up
If you are thinking about going on to university then Top-Up is a must. Tutors from Glasgow University will work with you over 12 weeks to support you in getting good grades, developing study skills needed in university and just generally helping you to make the transition from school to university.
You will visit the University for a lecture, and be graded on work you do with the tutors. Good grades in Top- Up can help you too if you apply to university and perhaps miss out on one grade needed at Higher.
We can also help with your UCAS application to university and, for example, with your personal statements.
