Primary

Assisting pupils in the realisation of goals and dreams is an objective for everyone involved in education. In conjunction with all the primary schools, the GOALS Project has been introducing P6 and P7 pupils to the opportunities available to them should they decide to attend university and college in the future.

Since 2000

Primary pupils in GOALS schools have been:

• Introduced to lifelong learning opportunities through working with university and college students in class.
• Visiting higher education campuses to sample student life and work with science and drama professionals.
• Working with art students to create some amazing work

We think that pupils benefit greatly from these learning experiences.

In 2005/6

• All schools will receive an art pack and pupils will be invited to participate in an art competition.
• Primary 6 pupils in selected schools will also have the opportunity to work with art students from the Glasgow School of Art

All P7 pupils from GOALS schools will take part in the Kids on Campus project which is a 2-week project involving a visit to one of 5 HEI campuses.
