Who we work with
Who makes GOALS a success?
Students
GOALS employs current undergraduates and postgraduate students to provide great role models, raise awareness and demystify higher education: some of our students attended schools with low participation rates. So they KNOW what they are talking about. All students receive training and undergo Disclosure Scotland checks.
Teachers
For GOALS to be a success the support of teachers is crucial. GOALS has been very lucky to work with some extremely keen and enthusiastic teachers who have contributed significantly to the development of the Project and its activities.
HEI Staff
Every activity has a co-ordinator in one of the HEIs listed below. Wider access co-ordinators from each of the institutions also support the activities and, for example, deliver UCAS workshops and talks at parents' evenings.
GOALS Partners
GOALS partners include the six HEIs in the West of Scotland, and 11 local authorities who, along with The Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council, contribute to funding the project.
